Microsoft Windows 7 requires activation using a unique serial number,
which is usually provided with your purchase of a license for the
operating system. Many programs exist also that circumvent the need for
activating Windows 7. These programs, called Windows 7 Activators, are
not legal and violate Microsoft's End User License Agreement, or EULA.
They also pose potential threats, such as legal trouble or data loss.
